Andrew Taylor-Baptiste

Andrew began his professional animal training career in 2007 while completing a degree in Zoology from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. After graduation, he spent the next decade working internationally as an animal care and training specialist, primarily with dolphins. After returning home and working for an emergency veterinary clinic and a local humane society, Andrew founded Operant Animal Training and Puppy Academy to use his skills and experience to benefit Greater Toronto Area families.

Tony Mlakar

Tony has been a dog lover his whole life and dogs have always seemed to take a natural liking to him. When he got his first puppy Chloe, he became very interested in the field of dog training and took it upon himself to teach his puppy as well as he could. Recently, Tony has taken on a new puppy named Syl, and begun an apprenticeship with Puppy Academy. He has decided to make training a career, and is now on a path to becoming a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner. The Puppy Academy is excited to help him reach his certification goals and have him assisting with supervising and training pups!

Additionally, our facilities boast pools for splashing, orthopedic beds for napping, along with a curated selection of high-quality toys for added enrichment.

With a convenient drop-off section and a focus on transportation ease, we provide a one-stop shop experience with grooming and veterinary services available on property as well. Dogs enjoy 24/7 supervision by dedicated staff, ensuring their safety and well-being as they interact with new and familiar friends.
